{"id":19,"date":"2021-02-25T15:52:22","date_gmt":"2021-02-25T10:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/super-ali.com\/blog\/?p=19"},"modified":"2021-02-25T16:04:59","modified_gmt":"2021-02-25T10:34:59","slug":"should-you-offer-free-shipping-on-your-shopify-store-or-not","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/super-ali.com\/blog\/should-you-offer-free-shipping-on-your-shopify-store-or-not\/","title":{"rendered":"Should you offer free shipping on your Shopify store or not?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A lot of people use Free Shipping by default and feel it helps increase the conversion rate. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a lot of research done on this subject which indicates that people do not like paying shipping fees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am personally a fan of charging people a flat shipping rate by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This has helped me increase my average order value and also has provided me multiple promo options which I would have missed out on if I would have provided Free Shipping by default. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A few promo ideas around shipping charges:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Free Shipping on a higher value order( I see a lot of people doing it wrong, I will make a separate post on this one very soon)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Free Shipping in an abandoned cart sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Free Shipping in retargeting ads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Free Shipping event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Free Shipping for club members (Amazon Prime)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also give an option of expedited shipping too and sell them air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: var(--global--color-background); color: var(--global--color-primary); font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: inherit;\">I have personally split tested this and I made more money while charging people for shipping. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: var(--global--color-background); color: var(--global--color-primary); font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: inherit;\">Due to the flat shipping rate, people order more products and increase AOV.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"background-color: var(--global--color-background); color: var(--global--color-primary); font-family: var(--global--font-secondary); font-size: inherit;\">Do you offer Free Shipping by default or have some promos in place?<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A lot of people use Free Shipping by default and feel it helps increase the conversion rate.
